Since you liked the other video....

Here is another really funny Onion video....it isn't about politics, but about nerdy engineers who try to ask a girl out on a date!!!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day - Yay!!

Tony gave me a heart-shaped box of Godiva chocolates and a bag of French Vanilla Godiva chocolate. Perfect gift! I was worried he would get me something over the tope, but chocolates are perfect! They are all pretty good, but I gave Tony the raspberry and cherry ones. He also gave me a sweet card.

I gave Tony a card too, and a short cookbook of marinades. He likes to marinate meat in crazy things before he grills it. Once he bought a restaurant cook book in order to get the recipe for a cajun marinade. So I thought he might like a book of just that kind of thing. He liked it...I want to pick out some recipes to cook.

Here is a picture of Tony and I at his house before dinner. We had trouble taking a picture of ourselves so it isn't very good. I wore a black dress and Tony wore a black suit.

This was the Valentine's special entree. It is fillet with lobster, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. It was a lot of food - neither of us could finish it.

This was the dessert we ordered. There was a full dessert menu, bue we ordered chocolate moose pie. It was pretty good.

The only reservation Stella's had left when we called was either 4 PM or 9 PM. We didn't know when Tony would be back, so we took the 9 PM reservation and of course I couldn't sleep because I had a feast really late at night. I normally like to eat at 5!
There were lots of cute couples at the restaurant. Mostly young couples. One couple looked college age, and half way through the meal the guy got up and took the girl's hand. I thought he was going to propose!! But he didn't....bummer. He just left (I assume to go to the bathroom) and came back later.

Ecclesia

On Sunday, I visited the church Ecclesia. I think Ecclesia is the Greek word for "church." Amy's sister Lindsey goes there. She started going there about a year ago, and now she interprets the services for a couple friends that are deaf. The worship service was at 10:30 AM. There was Sunday school at 9:30 AM, but I didn't go to that. Tony didn't go with me, I just went by myself.

I liked the service alot. It isn't a church that "condemns" people like some of the other churches I have been too. The sermon was on how the Jews had to follow The Law perfectly before Jesus came, but when Jesus came he said that no one could follow it perfectly. So he kind of went over a way of looking at Jesus's death as giving us freedom from trying to be perfect like the Bible tells us to be. I like the message alot. Also, the music was good. It was kind a combination of hymns and other contemporary songs.

I decided to go after Lindsey told me about it, and I looked at the website. They have lots of good programs available...they have a couples sunday school, couples bible study, and a 20's and 30's group. I thought it was good that they have both couples and 20's & 30's because sometimes I don't like the idea of couples classes. So I thought it was nice to have both options.

At the church service, it seemed like there were a lot of kids there, so that is the only think I didn't like. Hopefully not all the couples there have children. I'll probably go a couple more times to feel it out and then invite Tony to come and see if he likes it.

Obama's Teleprompter

I don't know if you follow The Onion, but it is a fake news organization that publishes news "stories" that make fun of real news stories.

I thought you might like this one about Obama's relationship with his telepromter.
